Juggernaut Ultra batteries

Does anyone know exactly what batteries are used with the Ultra battery packs?

According to the following article long term storage should be at 48% capacity and never lower than 20%. For safety suppliers ship at 25% to 30% capacity. Also 18650 batteries should never be stored fully charged.

Anyone have any different information about the Biktrix batteries?
Jim, that's the same with any lithium ion battery. Biktrix batteries use 18650 cells. Storage of batteries around 50-70% charge is what's recommended for long term. Our battery BMS have a shutoff mode when battery charge drops below 20%.

Roshan, could you spell out some of the parameters of the Ultra Battery Management System. What is the low voltage cutoff? What is the maximum charge? 4.1V vs 4.2V. (90% vs 100%)

If you have the display set on battery percentage, does the number show the actual battery percentage or does it just show the percentage remaining for use but not including the 20% or so reserve for low voltage cutoff?

When you get to low-voltage cutoff, does the motor simply quit or does it slowly lose power over a period of time?
Thanks

Jim, the batteries have a LCV of 43V (at this voltage, the BMS just shuts off further draw) and high cut off at 54V. For most accurate reading it is better to set the display to voltage instead of percentage.

Anyone know at what voltage the Ultra BMS balances the cell packs?

I'm moving to a 80% max charge (52V) for most trips in order to extend battery life (100%-54V only for long rides). Does the BMS balance the cell packs as it charges (e.g. even at 80%) or only after full charge? Apparently some BMS balance by draining the highest V cell pack once full charge is reached & then charge all again (allowing the lower V packs to "catch up") which means you don't rebalance unless you fully charge for a while.
Thanks
