Juggernaut Ultra 1000 vs. Nireeka Prime

The Juggernaut Ultra 1000 comes out to $2,423 (with 1000w motor and 14.5ah/696wh battery) after the Black Friday discount. It's $400 more with the 17.5ah/840wh battery (not worth it IMO).

I need a large frame and the Ultra 1000 only comes in red on the large frame. It does have the option of fat tires or MTB tires.

It also comes with front suspension fork and a few other standard upgrades (rack, fenders, headlight).

The Nireeka Prime comes out to $2,655 (with 1000w motor and 17.5ah/840wh battery) after the "electrek" code.

Both have the Bafang 620 motor.

Thoughts on which to buy?

I recently went with a Rize RX Pro in that same price range.
If you think you need a large frame (I'm 6'2" and find that's questionable in my mind) there's also the Rize RX. Both are Ultra powered, and come standard with 19.2 ah batteries and suspension seat post.

BTW, I felt the same way regarding the Biktrix battery options. It's like they aren't giving you any credit for the battery it comes with, just selling you a new one!

For what it's worth I put up this thread recently after riding my Biktrix Juggernaut for a year and a half.

I would strongly suggest you reconsider your thoughts on the battery. I'm 61, weigh 240 pounds and I'm not a strong rider. I live in a very hilly area and the 750w offered all the power I need to climb these big hills. If budget is a concern for the battery upgrade I would consider a 750w with the battery that will give you more range. This is my biggest regret, not upgrading the battery.

I have a Nireeka on order hopefully to arrive in January. It might be long wait time for the Nireeka. Also there are some known issues with the battery and derailleur on the Nireeka as it's a new bike. Not enough feedback or Reviews on those right now to get a good understanding of all the pros and cons. I looked at Bitrix as an option, but the price and value even for their battery is more than other competitors.

That said I went with the Rize RX Pro (Nireeka is still coming) after browsing the Ultra Motors thread https://www.electricbikereview.com/...p-10-ebikes-with-the-bafang-g510-ultra.31656/

So far having an absolute blast on the RIZE RX PRO..very happy with it... and can't wait to compare to Nireeka. The thing is a tank. Bitrix maybe use better overall components with SRAM, but their prices were a real turn off for me which is why I went with RIZE.

For example Bitrix is asking $1099 for a 2nd 48V 21AH Battery. Rize is selling their 48V 19AH Battery for $799 (which is still high). I just ordered a 48V 20.4AH with Sanyo 35GA cells, and a 3A DC2.1 charger (1 Pin) from @Susie.C for $612 including a charger.

Yes I know not all batteries are created equal, and time will tell how it compares to the Rize Battery Pack. Bitrix appears to be priced extremely high. It might be worth it for those that want better components and customer service, but I feel the value is not there compared to other options.

I asked them the very same question..if they would ship with my original order. I was told no that it's based on weight hence the $200 shipping. I'm debating whether or not to order a 2nd but I do want one, and they are proprietary. So sourcing from a 3rd party will be difficult if not impossible. That would leave me with 4 Batteries to take care of and make sure all stay charged. Since commuting to work is less with Covid it makes it more challenging as I intended to use my Rize RX to commute to work.

I would go with Nireeka as my first choice..that being said I don't know what issues problems will arise with the Nireeka Prime. My thing is I didn't want to wait 6 months or more to get out and get riding as it was a health choice which is why I went pulled the trigger on both, and I figured if I had two bikes I had a spare for if problems arose with one, and that I could get a riding buddy to share the ebike experience.

My first choice would have been the Nireeka because it just looks gorgeous, but it could end up being more problematic than the Rize RX which have proven to be an absolute tank so far.
