,.. the kickstand might be auto-deployed when going over an obstacle.

I've never had my kickstand auto-deploy, but the damn thing does keep bouncing around.

I've been thinking about a velcro strap or something, but I don't want swapping my batteries to become a chore.

Maybe I can reinforce the spring to make it stronger 💪 🤔
I worked on my car,.. 😁

In Hawaii, the locals put cars and trucks up on blocks then spray everything under with used motor oil to prevent tropical salt rust. Then they smoke a Vado. That rust looks catastrophic. That spring job is highly questionable if required to activate the brakes or whatever on a 3 ton rig.

I dunno dude?
It just seems so Damn Wrong torquing weight off the seat post??

I'm thinking that I'd snap it right off, or it'd bounce me off the road. 😀

I'm thinking more like Hands-Up, and hang on for dear life. ?? 😀

I take bumps and drops all day long. The 5 pounds (if that) maybe converts to a 10 pound heavier rider. Much less noise from.. and much less movement from the rack. The ride feels more solid in general.

In theory anyway full suspension bikes never have racks or kickstands. The load on a rack impacts the suspension somewhere, and the kickstand might be auto-deployed when going over an obstacle. One exception is the Tero X. It can have a compromised suspension with the rack, and have its kickstand deploy on a log because some people in a focus group said that is what they want.
There are more full suspension e-bikes equipped with a rack, fenders, lighting and a kickstand. For instance, it is several models of Riese & Muller (the Homage has a suspended rack!), some Moustache and other expensive brands. The e-bike type is called SUV e-bike. Similarly to SUV cars, these are meant to comfortably take rides in civilized areas with rare visits to easy off-road.

Yeah, my car was a rusty turd. 😀

My parking brake cable got rusty inside and started binding. The return spring wasn't strong enough to release the brake, so I added more spring tension so the brake wouldn't drag.
I replaced the parking brake cables a few months later.

I like that fully suspended rack on the Homage. 👍

It's a bit like @Gionnirocket 's seatpost rack, but it's got additional frame support.

I guess having the rack fully suspended would make a Big difference.

It was the rough washboard roads that was shaking the hell outta the rack bag.
Getting the rack off of the swingarm and onto the seatpost would probably eliminate most of that vibration?

It still looks So Wrong to me though. 😀

I have to take my bike down 12 stairs on the way out and again on the way in to my house. I can tell just doing that... that things are tighter with less bounce and noise. When riding I don't feel the rack/weight.. and again less noise.
When riding off road I'm light.. Some basic tools, food and water.
And no issues when I run heavy like to the grocery store. But then I'm on paved roads and not jumping curbs.

My Stance E "SUV'd"...

Mine in the wild...

Well, I was looking for a kickstand for my Trance to find none :) e-MTBs miss the e-SUV feature: kickstand mounting points on the left chainstay.
No mounting points on my 'SUV-ed" Brave. Fitted a £12 sturdy kickstand made by Halfords (huge national chain of car & bike parts/garages), was concerned it might slip or twist, but no, it's been brilliant.

Dork disc replacement is an important maintenance item because they yellow with time and you want the bike to look new and there is no better way to do that than with a fresh shinny, clean, and clear dork disc. The larger the dork disc the better, ten inches and up.

I’d like to remove my wheel reflectors, but I’ll need some kind of replacement. Such as spoke reflectors….maybe. I like to be visible. I don’t have the fancy tires with the reflector strip. Maybe I can add them with reflective paint? I don’t really care what my bike looks like, I just want it to serve its purpose in a safe manner.

PS, I almost decapitated a Surron rider, last week. I was getting something from my truck and began to lower the bin door on the passenger side (the door comes down vertically and rests horizontally at elbow height). I’m in the sidewalk. Right then, I hear a buzzing motor. It was on my left. I immediately pushed the door back up, hugged the side of my truck, and looked to stare in the face of the Surron rider. He immediately apologized “Sorry, bro. SORRY!” and buzzed off. I’m staying professional, since I’m working and didn’t say anything. I would’ve liked to ask him why he decided to use the sidewalk instead of the bike lane and where was his bell? Maybe there was a delivery vehicle up ahead of my truck that was blocking the bike lane? I guess it is illegal to ride those in the street so…sidewalk? Maybe he was on Vado? I dunno, good thing I heard him.
