Is an Ebike Worth it for Such Short Commutes?

I have the time, though I wouldn't mind sparing it. I would bring my bike inside my apartment with me at home, and the bike rack at work is outside, but it is covered and in close eyeline of the front reception.
Interesting question, my new office is 3 miles away and slightly uphill home, I’m thinking some days I’ll take my ebike and some days take my single speed, I have found with the ebike the biggest benefit is on really windy days I don’t mind biking still. My wife is getting the rad mission and she also stays in about a 3 to 5 mile radius and likes that the bike is light and can ride without battery if she ever wants to and entry level price is great and she likes it’s a single speed. My aventon pace 500 is pretty heavy getting up to our 2nd floor. I got that bike because my commute used to be 10 miles with a slight uphill and usually a little desert wind in my face

I am in a similar situation. I walk to work and the only reason I got an ebike is to explore the surrounding area without a car and to cover more distance than walking will ever do. On the weekends, I usually do 60-90 mile rides in both directions and love it. I would not use my bike to work, simply because storing it and dealing with frequent theft is just not worth the hassle.
