My name is Maarten and i already have an e-bike to do my daily commute to work.
Single ride is 26 km, approx 16 miles.

I am now doing this on a normal pedelec which is limited to a support speed of 16 mph. But already looking at a replacement for my old Merida with Bosch Performance Line engine. This will have to be a speed-pedelec that supports up to 45kmh / 28mph :)

This is by the way my current Merida bike:

Welcome, and let us know what 45km/h bike you end up choosing. We're always curious.
Yes, I am curious too. Particularly because I love the commuter style of the Merida in the picture. Will be eager to see what replaces it. Welcome Maarten.

This Merida is a good bike, sporty, reliable and a pleasure to ride. Put already approx. 25.000km on it. Only the Bosch motor was replaced due to a 500 error on the display. New motor is already running fine for 7000km :)

The candidates to replace this bike:

- Bulls Green Mover E45
- Bulls Green Mover Lacuba E45
- Stromer ST1X (most likely above budget)
- Kalkhoff Integrale S10 (although i have read lots of complaints of broken Impulse motors)

Bosch can only offer 500Wh batteries and not >600Wh, which gives me some doubts although there are lots of models to choose from.
