Help Can I Convert V brakes to disk brakes on my Neo City ?

Can I convert my v brakes to disk brakes (Neo City) , I'm 220 lbs. and 6' 2" and finding the brakes are stressed getting me stopped. BTW the front hub has the dyno . I also finding that I have to clean them constantly , getting that grinding sound from rubber getting scored on the wheel . I must add my commute to work at times is hilly .

The disc brakes mount on bosses on the drop outs (rear) or forks. If you are highly motivated you could replace the fork (where most stopping power lives) with a disc compatible mount. You're probably SOL on the rear. Alternate brake pad compounds may help. Good on ya keeping them clean, that helps too with pad brakes. -S

Where are you located? It's quite an undertaking as you will need to replace many parts. I'm pretty sure the frame does have the mounts, but the fork and front hub are not compatible. It might make more sense to try to sell your bike and purchase the new Evo version as it comes with disc brakes standard.

I have resigned myself to a possibly a trade up but have looked into different combo composite shoes of Salmon and Black , apparently for wet and dry weather. Anyway the fix seems as you say Chris way to complex .

Those brake pads should make a big difference.

Upgrading to disc is a PIA. If you want to keep your bike how about upgrading the vee brakes? Electric rider has been selling them for years. $30
