Hi:
I just got my Specialized Vado 4.0 a week or so ago, took advantage of the discount + rebate. I am extremely happy with it!
I have upgraded a few things, saddle, seat post and the grips and added a small handle mirror.
Thinking of either installing Mr. Tuffy Bicycle Tire Liners or replacing the tires with Marathon Plus tires, any input to help me with this decision will be appreciated!
I am also a photographer, anyone out there with a great solution to carry a DSLR Kit Eos R with 24-70 and 70-200? I have used the Arkel Trunk bag, which sort of works, and thinking on the Evoc 22L photog backpack as an alternative or maybe the Lowepro Photo Sport BP 300 AW II, Any ideas?

Welcome to the site and ebike commuting.
I ride kenda 2.1" "smoke style" knobbies, which gets me usually >2000 miles without flats on streets & roads. No slime, schwinn discount store tubes. I take them off when bumps are 3/32" high or less. Not fashionable, nor expensive. I paid $26 each for the last two from moderncycle.com .
I had trouble with instability of 2 MTB's and a cruiser with a load on the back. Just my wald baskets + tools in an akro bin would make the front tire whip sideways on bumps or sticks & seat would throw me on my chin. 4 times in 5 years, broke chin the last time. I'm riding a stretch frame cargo bike now, which puts my weight on the front tire. So far, I've been stable in the saddle on that one. $150 each Panniers are from oem Yubabikes , got me free freight from California. Panniers are supported on the bottom by yuba footrest, but I had to add one aluminum angle to keep the R pannier from pushing on the takeup & keeping me out of 7th & 8th gear.

If anyone was losing sleep thinking on what I decided to use to carry my camera equipment I am using the EVOC 22L Photop backpack. So far I like it. I tried some photo inserts on my panniers which also worked.
