hello from NOOB in Portland OR

almost ready to get first bike. I am car-less. want to deliver food during peak hours. thinking about getting a used kid trailer and converting it for cargo somehow. Living in SE. hey ;)

Charles, if you plan to attach a trailer, make sure the trailer has an attachment available for e-bikes. Burley, for example, makes a hitch adapter that bolts onto the rear bike axle. It is made for a Burley, but is available for round and square tubing and may fit similar trailers with modification. If you pull food, probably safe enough. If you pull kids, I'd stick with something built for that purpose. The trailers that only attach on the frame in the corner of the chain and seat stays will not work on an e-bike that was specifically designed to be an e-bike, but may fit on a regular bike that has been converted to electric. Also make sure you have a good lock you can use while you are away from your bike making the deliveries. Good luck!
