Hello All I have a throttle wiring issue

Hello, Jwcarmo here who has been riding a ProdecoTech Phantom X2 since 2012 and loving it. However, The thumb throttle recently broke (actually the On/Off switch fell apart) and I ordered a replacement on the interweb. Now that I’m ready to replace it, I found out the original uses just four wires, but my new throttle has six wires. The question is can I still use this new throttle and which wires should I ignore?

I know Prodecotech is almost impossible to contact any more, they may be in receivership. You might try an email to [email protected]. Get whatever numbers you can off your motor controller and based on that (or your model and year) ask for a matching four wire controller. I got a new warranty controller a few months back and was shipped with a four wire throttle because the new controller did not match my three wire throttle. This was a grip throttle and not a thumb type. Sorry, can't help you on the 6 wire. Also Luis Cruz is not longer with Prodecotech. I also have an outlaw that has a thumb throttle, but I don't know how many wires. If you keep hitting dead ends, post again and I will see what I can deduce from what I have in my garage. Regards... Well thanks for responding to my message, Buzzard. I’m going with adding new connectors and wiring it as I’ve seen on the web. The colors don’t match entirely, but I will give it a go. Thanks for checking.
