Has anyone tried installing their Creo with remote button + derestricted unlock chip?

@etgo: Consider whether you really need to go through all that trouble of derestriction (and possible warranty loss) to get assistance over 28 mph with the low power motor and small batteries? Riding assisted above 28 mph would mean a terrible penalty on the battery. Moreover, it is you to provide the most of input at such high speed with the 240 W motor.
The situation in Europe (the speed restriction at 15.5 mph) for a road e-bike is another thing. But derestricting a 28 mph Creo? Nah...

I have used the PearTune 3.0 to derestrict, but I am in Europe and 15.5mph is too slow. The unit can be switched on and off using the walk button on the remote. I have done the Di2 hack, so that I have the power settings on my spare left Di2 lever and I have also installed a walk button on the end on the bar, so I can turn unit on and off. Nice and hidden water proof button, that only I know is there. Over the Di2 power hack, had to connect the common wire (center pin so split cable) and 1 other. Dead easy.
I have derestricted my Creo and am in Europe. I find it sometimes dangerous to look down and change the assistance level. Living in an hilly area I require to change the assistance level frequently to allow me to keep up with my group and save battery for the distances we ride. Can I fit a Turbo Road Remote to my bike bearing in mind that the derestrictor is in the crossbar?

Hey Brian. I am also in Europe and did not like to looked and use the one on the top tube. You have 3 options to get the power level setting on the bars. 1st, if you use Di2 shifters, it is possible to covert the left shift to do power and this is what I have done. 2nd, use the remote from Levo SL which plugs right in. However, this round switch does not fit over drop bars, so you need to be inventive with the mounting. 3rd, get hold the specialized official power switches. I find look at these I think they are bulky and not nice.
Converting the Di2 cost me less then 10 euros and a bit of electric knowhow. There is a excellent thread about the remotes that list all the options. With power on handlebars for any of these option, you can move power up / down and off with easy, rather than cycling through power levels and holding for off. It does extend battery, as easier to shift into a lighter mode when not needed

In that case, you only have choice of Levo SL remote or the Creo specific one. The Levo remote is about 60 euros, but do pop up second hand on ebay once in while. I got mine from there that I was using before doing the Di2 hack. Plugs right into TCU and work right away

Will not fit. Wrong diameter.
I know I can buy the specialised Turbo Road Remote for the Creo but can it be fitted within the crossbar when the derestrictor box has already been fixed there. How is it installed

I've got the Creo REMOTE buttons installed on my Creo. They are on the underside of the bars, under the tape near the stem. You cannot see them in that position. Others have added them at the edge of the brake hoods. Yes, looking down is not very safe at speed or in traffic or on bumpy roads. Here's some pictures to possibly figure out sizing and space.

You can insert the unlock chip in between the (color green tip) cable from tcu to motor.

Hi, I am a new Creo owner and saw that the Levo offers a "Walk Mode". When you installed the Levo SL remote on your Creo did Walk Mode switch work?

The Levo remote has wrong internal diameter 22.2 mm and cannot be installed on Creo 25.4 mm bars.

Yes, the walk mode does work on the Creo, but as previously mentioned, the remote diameter is the wrong size so you you need to be inventive to make it fit. I am in in UK, so have a restriction of 15.5mph. I use the walk button to unlock my derestrict via Peartune 3
Thanks for the replys! I do understand that it will not fit the handlebars directly. I'll fiddle around with some of the ideas I've seen in other posts.
