Haibike will be using 120 NM torque TQ motor with quick charging 630 wh battery? Interesting! Now if they can bring the price down.

Yeah, new higher torque motor systems along with 5,000 hours of research and development will always mean a lower price point! LOL!

My crude and rudimentary BBSHD happened to have 160 NM of torque and can continue to provide support up to 140 rpm cadence. I'm not that interested to use all that torque since I am concerned about the chain stretching and premature wear of the drive train.

Instead of the high torque, I rather used the high rpm support at lower assist level and try to preserve the drive train, and my knees.

But I have the throttle handy in case of emergency evasive maneuver. And boy, how forceful is that bad boy motor when I full throttled it.

That motor would be a hill-climbing animal.

The charge time looks awesome too. That would be great for quick charge-ups while on the road. One thing I'd worry about is that most modern electrical wiring puts outlets on 15 or 20 amp circuits and likely puts multiple outlets on the same circuit. So if you are trying to do a quick charge-up in a Starbucks or Taco Del Mar you might blow the breaker, which would be somewhat embarrassing.

yeah but the BBSHD has this motor dangling under your bike though... aesthetically unpleasing..

That's why I called it "crude and rudimentary" but I am still able to extract the most "fun" from it.

And having two 700wh batteries, travelling 70 miles at high speeds without the range anxiety is more than enough fun for me.
