Good news! - Smartphone Hub

What showed this? Did you try it anyway?
no because I ad already had the sho buy the nyon one. but when I looked online the remote was shown comparable with the smartphone hub and the kiox. I got home from the store with the smartphone nub in the bag but I dont see the remote. but if it works thats all the at matters. does the walk button work and when you press the diamond shaped button does the nyon pop up with the reset trip screen?

Riding with a phone? When I had the smartphone hub, I used an old phone with no SIM card, just as a display module. The phone as a display worked fine. It's the cobi.bike app that stinks - bugs that Bosch won't bother to fix. Phones actually make a good display IF the software behind them is decent. cobi.bike flunks the software test.
Sure makes sense, but you and I are not the fellows with our faces in messenger and such while riding. I guess no different than cages. I see several cagers with phones in their ears on every ride on city streets. Scares the hell out of me. And enforcement seems nonexistent here.

So they can buy the stupid thing...I just wish the bike makers themselves would give us a choice, at least on their premium bikes, to get something else. Thank goodness I wasn't upgrading from a purion, though. That would have needed a trip to a LBS and a wasted day.

no he just went by the part numbers. since he works for trek and is a bosch certified mechanic so has to do it right. I had to have my first bike torn apart to get the wires through as they made it so tight the whole front end had to be stripped and the battery holder too. took 3 hours to run the new wires.

Hey, it worked for both of us in the end, didn't it? :)

I'm just glad to be done with cobi.bike, especially after Bosch crippled it with their most recent update. I'm still getting used to the new screens. I wish there was a way to color code some of the numbers, since on a quick glance they can all look the same.

Jeebus riding with a phone. Does anyone take a break? I’m getting old, maybe that’s why I don’t get the phone in the face every waking hour. Just about hit two college asshats, headsets and face in phones on shared path. Oblivious to any other users... Followed by an idjet on an eBike, face in iPhone. He actually elbowed the college goofs, inadvertently, but there was contact. It could have been nasty. What a strange phenomena.
