I got the new bike on 28th oct. I must have done about 170 Kms. On the first ride the chain slipped. Bike shop adjusted the derailers. Yesterday after climbing a mountain and was going downhill, I felt the sudden loss of power from the motor and the chain slipped and got stuck. Pushed the bike home and gave it to the dealer. They say that chain is bent 2 or three places. Feeling a bit odd with the bike

I had my chain replaced but again today, it slipped and stuck. All my efforts to put it back failed. Taking it back to the Giant dealer tomorrow first thing.

stuck where? Why won't it go back on? Is your chain ring a wide narrow configuration?

Does it happen while or right after shifting gears? Are you shifting while pedaling under load? If so, you need to ease up on the pedals when you shift.

Stuck in the crank, it is a new chain, the dealer examined it throughly, advised me to be little easy on uphills.Hopefully it wont happen again. Otherwise Lafree is such a beauty

I did not shift gears, just stared a uphill with battery 150% support. May be I am pedalling hard, becasuse my previous bike is a Giant Defy2. I have to be mindful, dealer Ivanhoe cycles checked it through, hopefully it will never happen again, it is a new chain I have done 95 kms. Otherwise very happy with the Lafree E+2, it encourages me to ride everyday.
