Can someone explain why the Sprocket Lock ring is a left hand thread please.

Also how does the rubber O ring help secure the lock ring, even if the lock ring is not tightened to the correct torque (according to Bosch instructions).

Just in case this can be of help to someone working alone, & not very strong 💪 lol.
I was having great difficulty trying to hold the left crank arm whilst both holding the Bosch lock ring tool securely in the lock ring, & turning the ratchet.
So I removed the non-drive side pedal, & installed it from the inside of the non-drive crank arm which then secured the non-drive side crank arm against the underside of the down tube when turning the lock ring ratchet on the drive side.
I could then use both hands to both hold the sprocket lock ring tool, & turn the ratchet with ease.
