Hi folks,

I see the following frequently. On another forum, it was noted that A.I. bots (or should I just say A.I.s) were putting a tremendous load on that forum. I wonder if the same is happening here? I was just wondering if I was alone in seeing this (could be a networking problem for me)...

I don’t mind that door. That’s ok.
CloudFlare is annoying because it delays your access by a few seconds. But, as an active user on EBR, I’d rather have that than lose access completely for many minutes at a time.

There may be other way to fend off the AIs with forum software, but I understand it’s trickier than just prohibiting the normal “bots” like Google etc that are easy to identify (if you’re forum software that is).

I sent a message to the forum, but no answer so far.
The only thing that works for me is patience. I leave the page opened, and eventually the message will go away (but sometimes comeback)

Requiring human approval of new members, and restricting new members from posting links, goes a long way towards reducing spam on other forums where I'm a member or moderator.
Both methods were standard @ EBR before it changed management. It's still Electric Bike Review ... sort of.
