Free Wheel Resistance

I would like to know if there is any resistance in pedaling when the motor is off.....like if you run out of battery with 10 miles to go.

Thanks, Jerry

Depends if you have a direct drive or geared motor. Direct does have a ratcheting feel from the magnets, geared drive does not. But the most critical, you're likely pedaling a 60 pound bike!

Probably more than that if I’m loaded. I’m thinking about an erad mid drive. Don’t know if it is geared or direct. I have a Bionx do on a Trike. Thinking about buying a Day 6 with a mid drive.

Geared hubs and mid-drives will freewheel, so the eRad mid will not create noticeable drag. A power-assisted Day 6 should be a very comfy ride. :)
