If I wanted to spend $12K I'd get either a Specialized Turbo Vado 5.0 or Trek Allant+ 9.9S, AND a Specialized Turbo Levo Comp. All problems solved - street, dirt, range, dealer service and warranties.
But I don't want to spend $12K, maybe half of that.
What I want is a bike that I can ride on the street (a lot) at over 20 MPH, but still be able to ride cross-country trails. After riding about 5,000 miles on two bikes (Juiced Crosscurrent S and then Haibike FullNine 6.0) I found that I mostly enjoy riding on the street between 21 and 23 MPH. And that 3 MPH is important! Of course having the option to go faster to get home or beat a storm is nice also.
And I would LIKE a 600+WH in-tube battery.
The one Class 3 option I see in mountain bikes is the Bulls E-STREAM EVO 45 AM. But it's a rugged, all-mountain, long-travel bike probably not well-suited to street. And for dirt I really just want to ride cross-country single-track.
Are there any options out there that I'm missing?
