I want to buy a 20" foldable electric bike to get around in Thailand. That way I could bike around locally and also put the ebike on trains, buses, ferries, minivans, etc.
If you could recommend various e-bikes and features you think would be good to have, I'd appreciate it. And also if you know of some sources where I could buy such a bike in Thailand or Southeast Asia or have it shipped there from a distributor.
The bike itself would need to be pretty reliable as I'm not good at fixing things. My budget would be around $1,000 to $1,500, but I'm open to suggestion.
Currently I'm renting a used cheap Chinese 20" foldable e-bike. But I need a new bike because I need it to be dependable, and a fresh battery wouldn't hurt either.
In the future, there will be more options. At the moment, Vello from Vienna, Austria is coming out with an innovative foldable 20" ebike that is super light and can become very small for transport. But it doesn't have a throttle and it's quite expensive:

[ you'll need to wait for a few seconds for it to come up . . . ]
Thanks for whatever referrals you can bring my way, including any ebike people who live in Thailand. E-bikes really haven't caught on much in Thailand yet, so it would be good to network with those appreciate them.
