First E-Bike help me decide.

Like the shimano motor on the bh-rebel. You can pedal it yourself w/o power w/o drag, if you're feeling frisky. Lenny doesn't list the frame size, which may be wrong for your body.
The Fuji has a bosch Performance CX. Besides having expensive replacement batteries, bosch drives tend to drag like an anchor power off. Comes in 17 19 21 sizes, which should fit anybody, although they may not have your size in stock. I would be a 17.
I pedal myself a lot, use the motor for the 60th to 77th hill (some 15%) and in steep headwinds to avoid 6 hour trips.

I agree with all of the advice above and would add my recommendation for the rock-solid Yamaha mid-drive system.

Also take a look at the BH Rebel Lynx 5.5 with the upgraded PW-X motor, better components, and larger 500Wh battery.

You will really appreciate the upgrades in the long run and find that it is well worth the additional $500 investment. ;)

I've read really good things about the Bosch motor on the Fuji as well. I just figured i could put in in the lowest setting and still pedal to get cardio. My father owns a rad rover and that's what i did with his bike. I haven't ever rode a decent full suspension bike. My current bike is hard tail and I appreciate the power to the ground it provides. I'm just guessing that would be less of a factor with an ebike.

Hands down - the Yamaha. Not even a question. But that's just me - look at my sig. LOL

If you're really going to ride trails then you'll want the FS - you can always lock it out for in city.

I'm definitely going to trail ride often o maybe i should go the full suspension route. Anyone else see anything lately that seems better then the Lynx I've posted?

That HT fuji the house is selling is usually priced $300 less. I would not buy at the current price of ~$2K. Here's Google's cache from a few days ago. Also annoying that they tack on sales tax for many states.

I also would concur on upgrading to the PWX if you are considering the PW Lite. I have the HT version of the PW Lite and while it's a nice bike, it's more entry level spec.

Guess these are the two i would now consider. Do you think its worth the Lynx is worth the $850 to have full suspension?

It really depends on where you plan to ride.

If you are mostly riding on-road, light gravel and some trails you should be fine with a hardtail.

If you are going off-road on singletrack, rough roads, and long downhills you will want to have a full-suspension bike.

I have both and usually ride the full-suspension for another reason... after a long 3-4 hour ride, I am still comfortable in the saddle. ;)

Rode my roommates FS yesterday up and down the street to compare to my Hardtail. I think I'm going to go FS as it was much more comfortable.

Ask for Evan at Crazy Lenny's bikes if you are in the market. He treated me well and was super knowledgeable.

Congrats on your new BH Lynx 6... enjoy the ride! ;)

The forks are always better on a FS bike as well. It makes a big difference for offroad.
That's a nice looking mtb. 👍

The Yari fork is a good one, and the Brose motor is quiet and plenty powerful. These bikes are a blast to ride on trails - more fun then I even imagined.

Thank you everyone for weighing in and helping me decide. I hope this Brose motor treats me well as I have seen great reviews on the brand. Do most of the newer Brose motors have shift detection? This is the one gripe that i have seen on some older reviews. This particullar bike has the normal Brose motor not the Brose-S.

Also when I called crazy Lenny's their sales person said the Yamaha motors have been the most popular and very reliable.

Congrats. Look: Twins!

I have found this bike to be very well designed, spec'd and built. Also purchased through CL's at a blowout price. Brose motors absolutely rock!

The only thing I don't like about the bike won't matter so much on the trails: the 20 mph top assist speed. I knew that going in, but have become addicted to speed pedelecs. I guess that I can always try the "mount the magnet on the crank arm" trick.

P.S.: Don't fret about no shift detection. It is not really a big deal, regardless of how much Court loves it. Just plan your shifts, or just let up slightly on pedal pressure when you do shift.

The speed limit can easily be hacked with a number of 40 mph plug & play dongles... I have them on all of my bikes.
It really changes the flexibility of the bike and makes it easy to ride with the roadies on the way to the mountains. ;)

How much did you end up paying? They had the bike originally discounted much lower than what they currently show online. I'm curious if they honor the old price or better when you call.
