Feedback on Lunacycle & Lectric-cycles?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering anyone have had any direct experience with either lunacycle or lectricycles. I was considering a BBSHD or E-RAD custom build for the next project and both of these guys seems to have plenty of pre-built choices.

ERAD has some of the best customer support. You get what you pay for. If you're hands on consider someone like empoweredcycles. Matt answers the phone! Same with eRad.

I purchased from Luna a Giant Stance 2 MTB with BBSHD already installed. I removed the in-line shift detector and installed brake sensor that doubles as my motor cutoff when shifting. I also made a lot of changes according to my preference. Since the photo was taken, I changed the chain ring from 42 teeth to 48 teeth which increased my top speed. So far, I have no issues with Luna.

Beautiful setup. What kind of throttle option do you have? twist or thumb and how do you like it so far? I'm torn between a setup like this and Bosch Nuvinci harmony setup where you can have cadence control.

It came with left thumb throttle but I changed it to right half twist throttle as I am used to that setup on my 2 other ebikes. The Luna has the advantage in price and value but slightly heavier, slightly less battery efficiency, and less integration. The Factory ebikes (the big name brands) are integrated by design, lighter and more efficient, a little more costly but you also benefit from overall durability and dependability with the warranty backing.
