Ecotric fat tire bike 36V 12ah + 36V 17.5ah customized battery from a battery company that would fit into the bike = 30 miles range by throttle ?

Thanks for the info. I figure Ali is always a longshot just from experience with guitars. To be honest I avoid them. I don't do FB ( or any social networks) but I will have my wife check out Chen on her FB. I have heard good things about UPP and when I saw info on how to order and upgrade assumed it was a heads up for the company. After seeing burnt batteries I'm not sure. Anyway, a 36v 17.5 ah would fit the bill so my wife can extend her range. She plans to use her bike for wildlife photography. I am very aware of the danger of lipo batteries and kept my drone batteries in a "flame bag"
Please remember, Aliexpress is NOT a store. It’s like eBay. Some stores are fantastic, like Wendy Xie at Pasionebike . 18650 batteries are not anywhere near as freaky as LiPo. I’ll be posting my Ammo case battery charging safe soon. i just have to build a sacrificial battery pack for a live burn demo.

The fires were user error. But a design like we use can not lead to a flame out like in the video. If I were on a budget I’d probably use UPP again. Understanding the potential issues would be during charging, my ammo box safe would mitigate any problems. I know, I know, Schizophrenia is a cruel master.😱

I've had good success with aliexpress - RC parts and electronics, some ecig stuff. I did a LED lighting conversion on our Winnebago, all strips and components straight from China via ebay - all good stuff and what wasn't was refunded. A fraction of the cost of domestic goods. Added a portable solar panel, upgraded converter, LED TV, etc.

As long as you can get authentic goods and not cheap knock-offs - it's hard to tell sometimes. Good feedback and ratings helps, although those can get fabricated as well.

BTW, if you have a pack already, there's a well known battery builder near here that puts new quality cells in them as a rebuild. Sam at Fullerton Electric Bikes says anyone would be foolish to buy a new battery pack when you can get a better one with a rebuild. Some of the oem packs are proprietary - and big $$. I think the one for my Giant is like $800 or more. OUCH!
You can bet Yamaha isn't assembling them in-house, but I guess you never know. Seems like a contract-manufacture type of part.

Some of the better brands have “official” stores. Like Soshine. I always pay a bit more anc never get counterfeit. The only time I lost money was my first purchase. I clicked on “received “ not understanding I just released payment to the seller. $300 and 3 months later I got repair parts. Sold it all off for $100. Negative feedback gets good results. IME. Just looked and I’ve made 78 orders in 2019. My rear bike light with laser lines on the pavement was $18 plus tax at Wallfart, $2.87 delivered from an Aliexpress store. Absolutely identical packaging. Clones always have “Tell”.

That's like the Merrycle bike mirror - $20 at LBS, they'll even put it on for you.
$11 free-ship on amazon.

Don't assume I'm a fanboyz for amazoid. LOL
Or aliexpress. Many of the same ali-sellers are on ebay. Ebay used to be where people sold their used stuff, kind of like CraigsList. Now it's just a bunch of cheapo new products out of the far east. [shrug]

Oops iPhone keyboard! Yeah eBay WAS great. Now it’s almost useless. There are a few stores I like but find I do better by finding their direct web pages. I’d rather do Aliexpress than the same stores on fleBay or Amazon. So far this year my only Aliexpress problem is a $2.31 alligator clip mentioned in another thread. 20 more days and I either get product or a refund. HEY
MAYBE WE SHOULD START A MEW THREAD?!?! “Trusted Aliexpress sellers/stores”

I'm kinda thinking of using eBay, Pay Pal and UPP. Making the requests Thomas mentioned and going for the 17.5 ah. and let the chips fly as they will. I, being into RV's like yourself, Boats before that, was never afraid of tackling some electric mods as needed..Solar , controllers etc. but I have remained pretty cautious when it comes to LiPo batteries. I try to listen, research and evaluate best I can and in the end, run with my own best decision. I do appreciate the feedback , thanks. :)

eBay, Pay Pal and UPP.
You'll certainly have decent protections there. They do have a USA facility now and do repairs as well.
So the battery you show is not one you personally recomend or is there issues if you personally suggest a company you work with as an expert in that field?
I do my best to not use my presence here as a sales tool. That being said, our new batteries are light years ahead of UPP.
Bluetooth Battery Management System and cell level fuse protection. All battery information to your smartphone, but I don't think the factory builds Dolphin cased batteries.
