Ebike I want to pedal

I think that the OP changed their mind?

He ended up with an ebike where he will get a years worth of exercise in one day when the batteries die, or there's an electrical problem.

I hope he can at least pedal it in first gear without turning it on.

Much easier on a quad though

Either way, use caution or you wind up with this:

Take a look at the new Trek FX + 7 or the specialized SL with carbon frame.
Both are lightweight and fairly easy to Pedal with no assist. Just my two cents.

I have dialed my Denango down so I can get some exercise at 2 or 1 if I really want to work, once I peddled for a 1.5 mile stretch with a dead battery,no fun!

Trek just released their new FX + 1s.
It is a first with a throttle and a maximum of 28 mph class 3 bike. For 2k and it's just under 50 lb.
They also have the FX +1 which is a Class 2 with throttle up to 20 mph. Might be worth checking out.

That new TREK FX is nice on paper, so much so I want to check it out in person. I have a great TREK dealer in my area. Finally, a mainstream manufacturer that's using the evil "T" word on their ebikes!

It only shows in what a bad position Trek is now.

It's a bad position... terrible, really... when a company decides to actually sell what consumers actually want. 🤣

US consumers want faster ebikes that have throttles. It makes good business sense for a bike company to provide them.

European consumers have been conditioned to exhibit the "sour grapes" attitude toward features that are beyond their reach to have. ;)
