If you want a sit down scooter with vestigal pedals so you can take a short cut thru the bike lanes, there you go! I would have no problem if 10% of the local city traffic used these on nice days to get to work,

I think that the OP changed their mind?

He ended up with an ebike where he will get a years worth of exercise in one day when the batteries die, or there's an electrical problem.

I hope he can at least pedal it in first gear without turning it on.

Take a look at the new Trek FX + 7 or the specialized SL with carbon frame.
Both are lightweight and fairly easy to Pedal with no assist. Just my two cents.
