Easy Motion, Southern California, Do they Still Exist?

Court - Hope you are doing well. I have and Easy Motion 2015 City that I purchased from Sam about 4 years ago when he had one of his Fall open house dealer open market sales events, now he is gone. The new owners of his old shop won't even touch and EM bike. Easy Motion's presence in SoCal is gone and I can't even find them on the map using the USA BH website. It seems like they have pulled there US operation and have disappeared from the planet.

My question is where do I go now for service? I have an error code #5 that internet sources are telling must be serviced by someone who knows what they are doing . . . "Error 5 means you'll have to take it to the dealer and have them check the hall sensor in the motor. It may simply be that motor cable is not properly connected. It's also possible that the hall sensor is malfunctioning."

If this is not the correct forum for this post I apologize.

Thank you and have a Covid free day...

BH Easy Motion did leave many markets this year. They only sell ebikes in parts of Europe and Taiwan I think. Many posts on both BH and Easy Motion forums.

Error code 5 could me motor, sensor, controller or cables.

There are things you can check and service. Look through the forums linked above. Personally I think the most likely culprits are #1 connections (including display) or #2 the controller. There are recent threads about checking and cleaning all the connections.

I called a few former dealers on the east coast. Some said they were willing to try to help owners. You could try calling former dealers in your region.

Good luck.

I get the 5 error occasionally when riding on bumpy roads.
I think my problem is at the motor; likely the connection at the hub. You could call Brad @ Evolve here in St. Louis Park, MN, (952) 224-0897. He's a lot into selling bikes and still has a stock of BH machines on the floor.
His mechanic Matt is reserved, but he's helped me out some.
Good luck!

Welcome to EBR. ;)

I would recommend that you contact an independent LBS in SoCal that you can refer you to an EBike specialist.
