Dpc 18 buttons mount broke

The mount for my DPC18 display buttons broke and I'm wondering if I can swap the buttons to another set I have that's on a broken display ? Or if there's anyway to fix this issue if anyone has had it happen to them ?

Bum design. Try looking for STL 3d printers files. There’s one on thinguniverse for the face.

If the buttons you have are from the same model, swapping them should be fine.
You may want to consider the 860c display.
I've abused mine some and near 3 years and holding up well.

I've got a 500c on order but wanted this dpc18 as a backup and frusterated it broke ! Is it easy to swap the buttons over or is it hardwired

I have not tried it. It's plug and play these fockers.

Yeah that's frustersting for sure , the display has like 60km on it , what a piece of s*it mount

The buttons should be a separate plug out of the display and easily swapped/replaced. Same goes for the 860c.
With plastic I've found that "just tight" is best to avoid cracking and allow it to move if bumped with any force.

That would be great cause I got hit by a drunk driver on my old ebike which was a write off but the display shattered but the buttons are fine so I can swap them over !

I checked mine, I was mistaken. It is actually hardwired at the bottom of display. You will need to replace the display and remote as a unit.
They are not very expensive.

You know I think you are correct. I had come across an image showing a plug on the buttons but I'm unable to find it again and I might have suffered a brainfart.

All good ! I had a 500c on the way anyway just wanted as a spare I'll try and epoxy it back together !

Hi, I was wondering if you could post some pictures of how the button assembly fits together. I have a Rize RX, which has the DPC18 and it was just returned to me by the police. But the theif had installed a password on it, and I cannot flash the firmware to remove the password. I was going to use an arduino and some relays to brute force hack the password, but do not know how to disassemble it without breaking it. Any pics would be great. Hi from Victoria, BC.

I have not taken the dpc18 apart I just replaced it with a 500c
