Does your e-bike need makeup?

Oh it's crazy 🤪 alright, but so am I.😂

But you have to admit that my ebike looks better with a windshield,..
但你必须承认我的电动自行车带有挡风玻璃看起来更好,..

Not that I noticed. 我没有注意到。
My ebike weighs a TON. It's just under 100 pounds with the tool kit. The front wheel weighs over 15 pounds.
我的电动自行车重一吨。加上工具套件后,重量不到 100 磅。前轮重量超过 15 磅。

I ride no-hands for more than half the time I'm riding.
我有一半以上的骑行时间都是空手骑行。
I can ride no-hands in a crosswind and through potholes that I didn't see. The ebike just plows right through.
我可以在侧风中空手骑行,并穿过我没有看到的坑洼。电动自行车刚刚驶过。
It's full of inertia to keep it stable. 😂

My nemesis is mud. 我的天敌是泥土。
A 100 pound e-bike with street tires is no match for for that sticky goo.
配备街道轮胎的 100 磅电动自行车根本无法对抗这种粘稠的粘液。
It was fun though. 😂

I was looking into different types of windshields for ebikes and motorcycles when I was thinking about adding the windshield.

May be like this, I have severe migraines and using a windshield is a really good idea.

A gust of wind might knock that bike over, but it is a trike and it's mounted to the frame not the handlebars, so that's better.

It is kinda ridiculous though.
I'd be too embarrassed to ride that thing. 😂

If the canopy was a little bit bigger, it could probably fly? 😂

I even think it should be introduced with a feature to secure fishing rods, and accessories like fishing buckets as well as audio.
Between the aluminum rack on the back of my cargo bike, and the loop of twine I tie to the handlebar, I have carried a 10' long conduit. Also an 8' board. It ran between my legs. I tied the conduit to the aluminum rack with twine. A seven foot fishing pole would be no problem, and the bucket for the catch could fit easily in my panniers. With the footrests on the bodaboda frame, the bucket could stay vertical and contain water.

I love this picture, this is so creative, I want to go customize it, ride it and everyone will love me😀

What about a tattoo instead?

I think your e-bike would look cool with a traditional Hawaiian graphic,..

I have orange, reflective, vinyl that I put through my vinyl cutter and made some stickers for my bike. I think of more as a safety feature.

I would do lights though. Only for bike parties or holidays, but I haven’t.

How could a company miss an opportunity for free advertising? Stickers are cheap. I have a good amount of this vinyl and I was playing with the cutter. I googled the giro and ride1up logos and made my own. They came out pretty nice. It would be really cool for an ebike company to include reflective stickers of their logo. It’s identifying your brand while promoting safety. The bike is meant for commuting, so maybe spend a few dollars to promote safety or give the rider the option.

I agree with you, I feel that apart from offering a range of less practical accessory kits from these brands (why is everyone copying each other!), why not give the rider some DIY or more self-manipulation?

I like the photo you took of your car at the beach. And I love riding freely along the beach so much.
I watched your Youtube channel. You are an energetic and creative person. That’s great!
If you were asked to suggest, what necessary accessories do you think should be provided for electric bikes?
Very kind. Can't help much with the accccessory question beyond the safety essentials: A high-quality helmet, some riding gloves with padded palms in case you fall, a high-visibility riding vest or jacket, and a highly rated anti-theft system.

After that, what's necessary for one rider may of no use to another. My best advice is to figure out what you want to do with your ebike and use the forum's search function to find the relevant discussions. For example, if you want to ride at night, search on headlights, taillights, lighted wrist and ankle bands, etc.

Just one word of caution: You generally don't need to spend top-dollar to get serviceable accessories.

After talking about the accessory selection issue, I'm curious as to what your selection criteria for an e-bike would be for your age group (I don't mean to be discriminatory in any way, I'm 32 myself and I don't know the selection criteria for you and your close friends of the same age)
There are so many e-bike brands on the internet, what kind of e-bike would be most desirable for an older person? What kind of e-bikes are needed for camping, fishing, city riding, and other scenarios with different ages, different income groups, different genders, different regions, and so on? I think to make an e-bike that understands users' needs, we should start from users' needs, not make some false figures.

Sounds great, I'd like to inquire a little bit:
Currently, many e-bikes on the market launch marketing strategies, mostly giving away some accessories (which I think are not useful and expensive). Would people be interested in lowering the price of a separate e-bike and giving away some Christmas lights like these (you can DIY them yourself)?

Adding the option of extra AA battery powered X-mas lights once a year wouldn't be a deciding factor on purchasing one brand over another. Having an 2-5 year extended warranty option, improved customer service, local shop repair network, repeat buyer discounts with registered 1st time owners, free shipping promotions (or free shipping if you purchase over X amount), and did I mention improved customer service.

Search the forum for the long thread/poll we had several months ago on ebikes for seniors. Bottom line: Too diverse a rider population to answer the question on age alone.

IMO, the ideal way for anyone to select an ebike — senior or otherwise — is to do some prelimiary internet research on EBR and elsewhere, test ride a few promising candidates, refine criteria from there, test more bikes, and come back to the forum with specific questions.

I’m in a different age group than Jeremy, but I’d like to echo his opinion that the individual must select a bike based on their needs and fitment. For example, I tested a few e-bikes in 3 different frame types. That helped me narrow it down. Then I looked at frame dimensions to see what size frame would best fit me. I then looked to see what bikes people my size went with. I watched NUMEROUS reviews of bikes on my short list. It was a process that took a few months.

There is no “bike for 50+” or “bike for 30+”.

To get back on topic, if you want lights and make up, you should be able to have that. Make the bike yours and be proud of it. I have the same thought on pretty much anything else I purchase. Brand new PlayStation Portable, I hacked it as soon as I got home. The store I bought it from was shocked that I didn’t want to buy an extended warranty on that one. It was about $200, at the time. Most warranties are a waste anyhow, but that is yet another topic for a different day.

I keep appearance of my bike simple and clean. Only make up it gets is matte black paint from a can. I bought pressure washer and 5 gallons of bubble soap so after dusty or muddy rides it gets bubble washed. Easier to inspect when it's clean
I was surprised to see I didn't log out.
I have turret I noticed it carried over on EBR. I have deleted my uncivilized posts.

It looks alright I have kashima coated $1800 Fox 38 and about $200 worth of titanium hardware that's plenty of bling already. I enjoy very much just looking at it when I'm not riding. "Da Ridiculous Bike"
In case you missed my posts on why I name it Ridiculous. Here's why, I sent photos to my daughter California and to my daughter in Florida and they both replied That's Ridiculous.

Smoke Vados time.
I hope Stefan keeps his distance
My turret was triggered by Stefan.

I blocked him.
He's an ass. 😂

He thinks that I didn't buy a Vado because I'm poor.
I didn't buy a Vado because I don't want one.

Besides, I grow my own Vado. 😂
