That is meant only for a one speed bike. Citizen's current lineup only shows the Tokyo in 16" and that has a six speed. I believe the one speed gear in your kit is placed against a wheel with a onr speed gear, and it somehow freewheels. If your bike is aluminum frame (check with a magnet if you don't know) be careful. You may have to spread the frame to fit the extra gear. That's risky on aluminum frames because they can and will crack. Steel is spreadable. Maybe there isn't emough room on the bike axle to screw on the axle nut with the added gear. Those are two possible scenarios. Not saying you have them.
I guess it's better than pedaling when you're tired and beat, but it's a cheap kit and I wouldn't want one. The motor is a brushed motor that will make a lot of noise, and I suspect it will throw the chain a lot.
By the way, if you were to chose a hubmotor kit, you still have to check the width of the axles. Folding bikes don't necessarilly follow the mountain bike standard of 135mm rear and 100mm front, and those are ti two main widths for hubmotors.
