following up on the other thread regarding regional forums.... decided to start a thread here for folks living around the DC/Maryland/Virginia area so maybe we can ride together, help each other out, dealer/mechanics recommendations etc...

i'll start... i'm Art, live and work in dc, currently rides a izip path+ as my commuter to work. very much a novice to bikes/ebikes

There are quite a few in ebikers our area. But the dealers are truly horrible, I mean just plain pathetic.
I have had several pathetic experiences with them and avoid going to them as much as possible. I try to take meticulous care of my bike and it has held up really well.

If you have some issues, it's better to go to REI or Performance bikes. REI in Rockville is top class.
