Hi, having recently had warranty work done part of which was changing the display.
This display in sub menu shows limit speed set to 20.5 km/h which is 5 km/h less than it should be. Here in the UK legal limit is 15.5mph/25 km/h. I have been back to the shop but they insist motor cuts out at 15.5mph and that the display is incorrect.
Would anyone know if this is possible as I thought the display value would affect controller. I have no technical knowledge, my warranty expires on the 19th of this month so I am trying to get so thoughts on this. Many thanks

If the shop is telling you that the new display is so inaccurate that it cannot distinguish between 12 mph and 16 mph, don't you still have a warranty claim for a display that works?

Many displays allow user setting of the speed limit. You should learn how this is possible for your bike. If it is an expensive bike, they often lock that out, but then you deserve better warranty service.

Does the bike feel speed limited? Do you have a friend with a speedometer to compare the speeds?

This forum is more US specific. Try this UK forum. Also identify the brand of your bike, and someone there will have info.

Many thanks for your reply, I will look at pedelecs good advise. The most parameter’s are locked out so can’t alter them. Will try riding with someone as suggested. 👍
