Differences between the Metro & the Ui6?

What are the differences, other than price, between the 2 bikes - the Magnum Metro & The Magnum Ui6, please? Been thinking of buying the Metro & just "discovered" the Ui6. Is it an older model or what? Thanks.

its hard to say exactly but I have had mechanical and the same hydrolic brakes on bikes and there is a real difference in braking and when raining it makes a bigger difference. it takes less effort to brake with hydraulics and you don't have to adjust them for pad wear.

Ui6 is a older model, and pre-dates the Metro. Ui6 speed will top out around 23 mph. The display is not as nice as on the Metro, and there is not as much power coming from the motor, in part limited by the controller sizing they chose. And it does have mechanical brakes instead of hydraulic. Also it only has 7 speeds, and the lower tier shimano derailleur (Altus), than whats on the Metro. Metro is 8 speeds (Acera). There are no suspension pre-load adjustments available on the Ui-6. There is on the Metro.

Thanks for all your input. Is the extra $$ for the Metro over the Ui6 worth it in your view, Mile's E-Bikes & others?
