My son dropped off the Aipas M1 Pro I gave him now dead. Battery checked and fully charged. Bent battery connections on bike per Aipas dead bike video. Also rear brake cable is sized which is the secondary issue. Absolutely nothing visible happens when the power button is pushed. So the fun has begun. lol

It has a display similar to this? Try reseating the connector. Might be loose.

Aipas uses the 5 pin connector common to other bike displays, but appears to use their own wiring order.

Check pins 1 and 3 for battery power. If it is there, and display won't turn on, the display is likely at fault.

The few times that I experienced that problem it was always either:
  • Bad electrical connection between the battery and motor. (especially with Anderson connectors)
  • Bad display.

I did it and the battery connection is tight. A warning though even with the battery removed sparks flew from those connectors when accidentally shorted so there must be charged capacitors in the controller..beware. I was surprised.

i did find a beetle living in here.....

Unplugged and reconnected the display still no joy. I do suspect the display and will try to get a new one to try.

There are definitely charged capacitors in a controller! I shorted a power wire coming out of the motor last week while replacing a burnt Anderson connectors. Thought I fried my controller! But did not.

You may have already checked this... but do you have full voltage at the battery discharge port with it removed?
Do you have full battery voltage at the connector to the controller with the battery installed?

Figured you had... but you hadn't mentioned your methods.
Some batteries do switch off when removed from the cradle.. thought there may be a chance it was that safety feature.
Controller is probably the next logical step. Good luck.

A guy had me unbox assemble and tune his Aipas M1-Pro. Then he wanted to be able to stop, so he had me install hydro quads. Then he got a flat and had me install Schwalbe cargo PickUp tires and a more comfortable, HB, grips, and better pedals. He has only ridden it about four times in three or four months and now hates it. A magnet will stick to any part of the bike, from the crank arms to the frame. It is built like a cast iron frying pan. There is more to a bike than the low price and high specs on battery size and motor output as shown online. It has got to be a hundred pounder. The price per pound is really great. It is less than 11 cents per pound. Some bikes are $119 per pound.

It is his first electric bike. He told me he was really exited when he ordered it online after watching paid influencer videos hyping it. He wanted to save gas and commute everyday with it. Now he is turned off to all electric bikes. He wants to sell it for $850. So, if it is only 88 pounds as this video claims then $850/88 puts it at $9.66 per pound. Implying that a 17-pound bike should sell for $166.
