Cross Current bikes - can you remove the controller?

Don't think I've seen this addressed and read the online manual. Couldn't determine if the controller display is removable.

I like that my Garmin devices can be popped off in a second and taken with me to prevent theft or in their case, for charging. From pictures it appears that the controller is fixed onto the bike but obviously people have had issues with them and removed them for repair or replacement.

The controller and display are separate items, are you referring to the display on the handlebar? I'll bet you were up all night reading the manual

Yep, display is what I meant. And Yep, up all night. LOL

Same here! I assume that is so that somebody carrying around a standard allen wrench bike tool won't be able to easily take it. The flip side is it makes you purchase one for removal should you need repairs. Thanks everybody for responding. I had hoped you could just do a quick flip of the display and take it with you similar to the Garmins.
