Crashed: Need Paint

Hi Everyone,

I recently crashed my white Lectric XP bike and I am looking for some touch up paint recommendations. I sent an email/form to Lectric on their website but I haven't heard anything back from them yet. The affected areas with scratches and nicks are the back luggage rack, derailleur guard, break lever ends and one of the pedal arms. All of these these items are black in color. I was looking on amazon and came across two different types that stood out to me.

Glossy: https://www.amazon.ca/Birchwood-Sup...ds=black+touch+up+paint&qid=1603836341&sr=8-5
Flat: https://www.amazon.ca/Birchwood-Sup...s=black+touch+up+paint&qid=1603836813&sr=8-10

Not sure if I should go with the glossy black, flat black or something totally different than the links above.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Nail polish works a treat

Agreed. Nail polish.
And if you have a Dollar store in your area you can get a few bottles to mix to an exact match for your bike color.
Careful, you might get a little teasing from your male friends if they find your “nail polish stash”. Lol

Lectric sent me a touch up pen at no cost when I asked about paint. It worked perfectly on the various scratches and stuffs on my bike.

Yep, I just asked Lectric about some touchup paint and they just sent me some :)

my rack was dinged up out of the box. i used VHT satin black epoxy spray paint from Advanced auto. shook the crap out of the can then heated it up the can a little with a hair dryer to make it spray smoother. for small areas i just sprayed a puddle onto a paper plate and used a q-tip soaked with the paint to get the deep small dings. not an exact match but its tough paint.

Got my paint pen in from Lectric Customer Service...works very well in covering up any scratches.

Checked out the price and it looks like it’s about 5 bucks for one of these paint pens. Glad Lectric can help me save a few bucks.
