Converting this to a mid-mount e-bike

Doesn´t look to me that those wheels could adapt to disc, & i see no mounting points
for discs either, so unless you want to replace the fork & front wheel there´s no way
to use a disc. & impossible for the rear wheel.
Looking at them last night. They won't adapt to disc. Bummer

Actually, I think 750w is more than you ever need with that bike, maybe even too much.
500w is plenty. I think the stock v-brakes would be adequate with good quality pads
provided you don´t go crazy. With that fork, that bike really shouldn´t exceed 20 mph
anyway.
Yep, it's scary going down hill. There has to be something with the rack and trail design on the front forks and weight all in the rear, that makes it not want to go fast. At 10 to 13mph its a really nice comfortable ride. Climbing hills at low speeds makes it want to wonder. That's why I'd like some assistance keeping it over 4mph on an incline.

I have a dealer acquaintance that has installed dozens of BBS01 and BBS02 MOTORS He’s convinced 500W is the most reliable motor.
The BBS02B 750W can easily overpower braking if pushed to the max. See Grin motor tool for details.

I was leaning towards a 500 watt in my mind. I think you & friend are exactly right. Especially since I'll be sticking with the rim brakes.

This project is looking very do-able, just need to get Mission Control to open those purse springs. ;)o_O

Mission control? Be that your spouse? My 500w bike weighs 65 pds. with accessories, but still
climbs really steep stuff with ease. Actually, wth a short burst of throttle to get it going I can
maintain momentum with easy pedaling that uses little or no juice. It´s just a matter of a
slightly lower gear & a higher cadence.
