Kurt - Bosch Team

New Member
Hi, EBR riders/members. I'm new to the forums. I'm into cargo/around-town bikes, mostly. (All about bikes like the Tern HSD, Benno, esp. the new Remi Demi, etc.) Ideal setup is a well-designed cargo bike with a Bosch Speed (Class 3) drive unit. And, I won't say no to a good eMTB. Latest bike project: setting up my Ruff Lil' Buddy with surfboard racks from Moved by Bikes.

Welcome
That’s an interesting rack. Would like to see it loaded with surfboards.

I had to get creative with the mounting points because of the frame design of the Lil' Buddy. This is the Moved by Bikes "moped" rack that is meant to work on any frame with two parallel bars. The rack's bars are pretty far apart (so that I can pedal without interference), so this setup seems a little sketchy for boards under 5'8" or so. I used some plastic spacers (cut up a thin plastic three-ring binder) under the mounting brackets to protect the paint. I'm thinking about switching the rack the other side so that it's supported by the kickstand when there's a board in the rack.

Nice @Kurt - Bosch Team, where do you like to surf? I used to live in Irvine and enjoyed Huntington Beach and some of the breaks just South of there... Blackies in Newport is fun! I haven't been out in the ocean for a while, but caught a few artificial waves at the BSR Surf Resort in Waco Texas last year.

Great rack setup by the way, thanks for sharing the picture... I second @Marci jo that it would be cool to see it all loaded up :D
