Carry Stromer ST-1 Manual Info with You

The hard drive in my memory is pretty full so I decided to try and find a way to put the directions in regard to using the Control unit for the ST-1 unit on to my iPhone. I downloaded the Stromer Manual, then exported it as a PDF file to my computer. Using Command-Shift-3 on my Mac, I was able to then drag the cursor over the material I wanted to capture. Upon releasing the trackpad, a PNG photo was sent to the Desktop. I then used a photo transfer application to transfer the pics to my iPone and created an album to place the pics in. As you can with any pic on the iPhone, you can enlarge it hence making the info readable when out on the road...seemed better than carrying a paper copy along on my rides/continually having to pick up the manual and review the procedures for making changes on the control unit.

Erm, why not just download the PDF to your iphone in its entirety, did you mean your phone is pretty full? a 5-10mb pdf would be the least of your problems if there weren't space for it!

Seemed easier to just have all the info I needed in two pics; easy to access, but like the idea of simply downloading the PDF

On Android you can screen shot, essentially take a photo, of the screen. I've done that with the most important manual pages myself, I do agree having those few critical pages separate is important!

To take a screen shot on Android all you have to do is hold down the power and volume down buttons for a second and it is saved to your photos. Perhaps iOS has a similar function.

iPhone has this capability and I forgot about it...thanks... but at least there is more than one way to get the job done.
