Carry Essentials

But you can go super-light and carry one of these

I'm not buying that demo at all. All slightly inflated tubes not inside tires will have plenty of give before they puncture. It's when tubes are constrained inside of a tire at 30-50 psi (or whatever) that they get punctured. Think about it - anything that can penetrate the much thicker rubber and cords of a tire will not even notice the thin walled tube, whether superlight or regular.

Yes, probably, but for a lot of uses a tube that weighs half as much and is half the volume might be worthwhile thing.

Right now to get a spare tube, multi-tool, patch kit, pliers, and tire levers into the mini-framebag on my bike requires quite a bit of tetrising to get things in place. One of those tubes would likely be much easier to pack.

I also strongly suspect that those tubes would really shine for someone riding tubeless.

There is a trip I've got planned with a section which will be right at the edge of the range capabilities of my bike. Dropping a little bit of weight on the wheels might bring it within those range capabilities and give me some margin for error. As there are always errors.

FWIW I am ordering a couple and should report back on them.

I know it's all about the gear ?, but really, when you were in high school or university, did you carry all of this stuff when you commuted daily to school or your job? I sure didn't.
I have learned it is better to "have and no need, than to need and no have" that said I didn't carry squat on my bikes in my younger days, but I also didn't have to be at a paying job reliably all the time, back in the day either. An ebike can handle basic tools, a tube and an auto inflator. The last thing I want at age 62 is to be stuck on the side of the road at 5 a.m. in the morning. I recommend some slime puncture sealer inside the tubes. Myself I carry bear mace to ward off wild dogs that sometimes run in packs in my area.

In addition to the above I include an extra 10 dollar spoke magnet in case mine should fly off. I don't think my bike would work without it.
A presta to schrader valve converter in case there's issues with my CO2 cartridges and I have to find a service station for air for which I'd also need a buck in my pocket cause air isn't free anymore.
Oh, and a small flashlight which has already come in handy numerous times.
