Newbie here, just want to add a bit of input to help from research I have been doing this year.
From what I read about non-e (acoustic? is that the correct term?) cargo bikes that a lot of folks are fans of Surly's Big Dummy. Most consider it the 'fastest rolling' cargo bike and lots of options, 2 or even 3 (3 small) kids can ride on the back, the bike is rated for 400lbs of rider plus cargo or 200lbs max of cargo.
Surly has recently released the 'Big Easy' which is their Big Dummy with a Bosch Performance CX motor built into the frame.
