Bosch Cobi app with Apple Watch during battery change mid ride?

Greetings all. I have a Riese and Müller Delight bike with the Bosch system and use the Cobi app to record my rides to my Apple Watch/Fitness app. I change batteries mid ride but do not stop the ride on the app... hoping that it records one long ride, but when I check afterwards, it shows up as two separate rides in my Apple Fitness app.

Does anyone know of a way to record rides with a battery change mid-ride, without cutting the ride in half in my Apple apps?

You best option would be to pause the activity on your Apple Watch/Fitness app before you stop for any reason. This is how I do it on my Sunnto watch app.
