@roshan
Several owners of this bike have related that you have mastered the tuning of this motor which needs help out of the factory.
Please tell us what you do that is making it better, your not at Exess level but you are beating all the other guys or so it would seem.
Do tell .....
Yes, we stand behind our motors and eat the cost if we mess it up.Interesting......in one of the articles it mentions both Luna and Biktrix as companies that have figured this out.
It also says if you play around with it, hacking it/tuning it your warranty is void, that means this motor is exclusively warranted through the bike seller under their whole bike warranty, will Bafang credit them if they have a tuned motor die in six months? Maybe or they might have to eat it.
Don't want to make it too easy for the others who sell Ultra motors, do we now
Can't another seller just figure out programming by plugging in a programming cable and reading programming from the controller on one of your bikes? I doubt any programming you do to the motor is a differentiating sales factor for your bikes. 99% of buyers are clueless about that. Sharing would lead to more collaboration to make fine tuning better. How long has this motor been out? 2+ years? Silly.
You bet. You can get it too from them if you buy a few thousand motors and ask them nicely.Firmware hex codes? Lol wut? So Bafang gave you the code to modify and create your own firmware?
Thanks for posting that. For comparison:

Would be interesting to compare to what Biktrix uses. Such a wide variation out there I'm guessing it really depends on user preference.
Roshan must have his personal bike tuned to perfection for himself.
M800 still isn't mature enough for us to roll it out. The system is completely locked down with BESST (Bafang's proprietary tool for programming). Also turns out that err 21 (speed sensor error) bogs down the system and cuts power till you hard reset. This can be super annoying especially if you need to wait for up to an entire wheel revolution for the speed to pick up.Hmmmm, interesting. As a Canadian I've wanted to buy a Biktrix, but the issue is that they don't make the type of bike I'd like to buy. I would like an electric gravel bike that uses a smaller and lighter motor like the Bafang m800.
Perhaps one day they'll make it, or as I get older I'll find the bikes they make better suited to what I want at the time.
