Bike Trailer

Finally got the Magnum Metro last month and have been using it as much as possible. Only problem is dog gets left behind. I want to get a bike trailer to take him along....he's a 45lb lab mix (good medium sized dog). Anyone have a recommendation on what kind of bike trailer to look for?

I bought an inexpensive Schwinn branded trailer. Regularly haul 65lbs of tools between shops/projects. Ordinarily I’d run from anything with a Schwinn label, but some surprisingly positive reviews encouraged me. But if it were a dog hauler I may have upped the budget. Then again, it works.

How is it for stability? Some of the reviews I've read have had trailers tip over (presuming on turns/curves) .

At safe speeds I’ve had no issues. Weird, Id expect you have to be riding pretty fast and make really hard turns to flip my trailer.

People haul toddlers safely in nylon trailers all the time, and I've seen dog trailers too. The only time my bike seemed unstable with a trailer is when it was parked. Kaboom. Bike lying on its side. My concern was that they pull so easy with an ebike, I put on a second mirror so I could look at it when riding, to make sure the grandkid hadn't jumped out.

I think you have to be reasonable about your speed. A panic stop is going to jack knife your rig. LOL. Trucker talk.
