You probably cannot open it. I have found mine (KT LCD3) use waterproof sealant to hold the case together. and difficult to split.hi, i have looked at display and theres no connection in the wires to check. is it worth opening up the display?

Bristol seems to make a quality bike, and even 10 years ago, quality bikes use a handlebar harness, where the display and electrical connects from the brake levers plug into a harness. Follow the cables down til you see a connector. Pull it apart and re-connect, Might even solve your problem,
If it does not. you can check for voltage at the connetor, but let's leave that for now.
