Rankings are out. They do say more states are spending money and planning more bicycle friendly infrastructure improvements.

It is kind of interesting to compare these rankings to states population density and/or political leanings (redness/blueness).

It should be noted that these rankings involve all types of bicycles. I find it interesting that several higher ranked states have the strictest e-bike laws. A state might be "bike friendly" but not necessarily "e-bike friendly".

Here's another interesting statistic. It may be nice to see states spending more and so forth, but as fatalities keep going up I'm a lot more concerned about how likely it is that I'm going to be killed while cycling than whether my state is spending money on enforcement, etc.
