Battery cover idea

So I began thinking about muck and a bit of water getting into the battery connection area on my 2021 Stance E.
Here is what I came up with...

Connection spot near the bottom...

Possible solution is a neoprene calf brace...

Installed very easily, and sits nice and tight...

Went for a ride at lunch through some puddles and muck, and the result...

Easy to clean...

No muck in the battery cavity, YAY!

I bought these the other day after thinking about it for too long. Comes in a pack of two so you can wash one and use the other.
They are Heekooi Calf Brace, Shin Splint Compression Sleeve (1 Pair)
What do you think? I've only tried them once, today.

As a joke while passing guys in spandex I came up with this battery cove which has zero utility. This is with the orange Gatorade top removed so you can see the USB.

Fahrer-Berlin makes many types of e-bike neoprene battery covers. I used one intensely when I was missing a skid plate for the spare battery.

What about modifying a knee brace. Wasn't there a heavy metal cover band called IronKnee?

They have some with Velcro.
A guy was having trouble removing a Velcro strap today so I told him to read the Velcro Operator's Manual. He laughed.

Dog Food on Mount Tamaulipas Test Today!
The Surly Big Dummy conversion passed the test late today buy climbing Mt Tam with 80 pounds of dog food. He has a big dog. The bikes owner lives on Tam and will ride to his weekend place at Stinson. From Sausalito it is a climb. From Mill Valley it is a climb. He lives in epic bike territory. His elderly MTB neighbor insisted that he do the conversion because she loves her bike. This riding habitat where mountain bikes were evolved and Eric was a part of it. Now he wants some assistance when buying dog food down the hill.

I like it, but I already fashioned one from an old wetsuit - I use some lengths of velcro strapping to hold it on.
Price = $0.00 as I had everything on hand.
I've since cut some holes in it so I could put my bottle cage back on.

I like what you and @Prairie Dog have done with just a sleeve to guard the bottom of the battery where the connecters are, and as I still have some neoprene left.
I think I'll emulate (copy?) your concept/design for the warmer months.
