Battery connectors. info needed.

Hello I need some info from experienced e bike owners I have an electric bike and its connector for the motor to the battery is a 3-port house plug like this:
CNX-6003.jpg

but when I search for an official name or serial number for a plug like this I can't find any. I need to know so I can find a converter to fit to the new battery I bought that uses a xt60 plug like this:
MRC0215-2.png

any ideas? any help at all would be great.

The upper one is a standard power connector for 110/120v to power any number of common appliances, from printers to computers, chargers, and ad infinitem.
The lower one is a XT60 connector - also very common and standard. Google XT60 connector, or your local hobby shop will have both ends or pairs in stock. Crimp connectors are good, you can even get ones with shrink-wrap tube, all in one, to make a water-tight connection.
Any local electronics supply will have this stuff too.

The XT60 is much more compact.

does that standard power connector have an official name or serial number? I mean it has to have some kind of identification for looking it up to order one besides its physical look?

you see I MUST order it online. no "hobby shops" or "electronic supply" stores near me and my electric bike is my only form of transport. after hours of searching online I could only find pictures like I posted of the standard power plug. when I go to search for a converter or some kind of bridge for it i get nothing but a bunch of other types of connectors.

"Standard computer power supply connector" or cable.

Amain will have the XT60 connectors: www.amainhobbies.com
Just search for XT60 for a bazillion results. Great company, good prices, ships fast. Amazon has some of them too, but mostly made-up cables.

This stuff is common on Ebay as well. Just watch for 'ships from' and skip the ones coming out of China - you'll be waiting...and waiting... LOL

I'm not looking for a connector, i'm looking for a CONVERTER. I find connectors everywhere all over the place for xt60, but what I don't find is a converter. I'm sure I can just cut the end off and rewire it sure but that is horrible for the battery and makes it wear out faster. every time I search for that "standard" plug I get a bunch of stand alone items and when I try to associate it with an e-bike all it turns up is the RCA connectors which seem to be the standard plug for all e-bikes.

What about the wires? One plug uses 3 wires, the other uses 2. What am I missing? Search for 110v power connector. By converter, do you mean a pigtail with two different connectors? In electrical language, a CONVERTER is a device that changes voltage.

You'll not find a made up cable with both those ends. XT60 is most common You would want to determine if all three poles are used in your existing harness. Likely it's just + and - - and it is polarity sensitive.
What exactly is 'horrible for the battery'? If you're talking about taking side-cutters to a powered-up cable, yeah - short-city man. 💥 Don't do that.

this means I'd have to rewire my motor plug. I might as well just junk my bike then. if i can't get a converter the bike is useless to me. no one makes a battery with the standard 3 port plug on it.

You're going to have to get your story right and stick to it. No one here but you knows what you're looking for.

Pick one. Who made your ebike. And also what kind of battery and how many volts?

[ ] 1. cable between battery and motor?
[ ] 2. cable between battery and charger?
[ ] 3. cable between charger and AC power?

It is an IEC connector. https://www.newark.com/schurter/4301-0502/conn-fused-power-entry-module/dp/84K0270
Here is the whole category of 50 pages of them https://www.newark.com/c/connectors/power-entry-connectors/power-entry-connectors
You can buy chargers with the mate to this on them about as cheap as newark sells new ones without wires.
If you need the female, you probably have a dozen of them in the junk drawer for dead electronic devices like PC's. Cutting the NEMA 15A plug off and butt splicing a XT60 on would be what I would do. Good luck on finding an adapter. Competent butt splices are sold by Dorman at the auto supply, but use the red ones for 18 ga wire used on old PC's. Your battery connections really need 12 ga wire which is yellow, but finding a 12 ga IEC cord is as rare as those $20 Shurter power entry connectors on the newark link. One 12 ga one comes with each $1200 Peavey 1300 watt PA amplifier, and the only place I've found that sells the 12 ga ones is Peavey parts service.
Note Newark minimum freight is $10 unless you specify USPS and orders below a certain dollar amount incur a handling fee. I'm always above $50 orders so I never get one.
BTW I find all crimp connections not made with an Ideal Bulldog or Klein tool are ****. There are 99,999 other brands out there that produce garbage crimps. Making a good crimp is important at 30 amps. Also, acceptable brands of crimp connectors are TE connectivity, Panduit, T&B, Ideal, 3M & Dorman. "Just as gooe" crimp terminals sold on ali/ebay/amazon/radioshack melt out at 30 amps.
IEC connectors are registered worldwide with UL, VDE, CE, etc etc as AC power entry devices for multi-voltage appliances. ie 120 vac/240 vac appliances. As they are used on e-bikes for 48 vdc or 36 vdc they are probably in violation of those registrations, and probably no ebike that uses one for the battery would have a UL VDE or CE rating. But they are cheap, and common.

my e-bike was made by a small wheelchair company that is no longer in business it looks like this...

its a 48v 1000w 20ah battery bike

here is the battery it has now

and the motor plug that goes in it...

the battery I found to match the bike that I want to buy has the xt60 connector to it. thats why i needed a converter. I can't find a battery anywhere that uses the 3-point house like this one has.

clear enough?

You won't find a connector, you will have to make it, an IEC-C13 connector plug wired to the XT-60 connector.

You will need to pull the motor side socket out to check the wiring, hopefully only two pins are used.

The IEC-C13 connector plug comes in straight and right angled,

That's a solid looking bike.

Is the new battery going inside the shiny metal box behind your seat? Or will you have to get rid of the box and strap the new battery there.

old battery slides down into a chamber made to hold it. the new battery is slimmer but the same height I can use a piece of wood and mount the bracket the new battery comes with on it and it will fit right down in there perfectly. the seat locks down so no one can pull the battery up. the lock clamps down over the bolt to take off the seat too so they can't just take off the seat.

My wife's Liberty Trike has the standard 3-prong on the battery. They might have a battery you could use.

A bit of drama here I think. This is a non event.

Batteries don't use 3 port plugs because they have only 2 wires.

If you are unable, or just don't want to take this 15 minute project on yourself, pretty much any handyman should be able to handle it, IF you can't find a bike shop to have a look at it.

Are these the exact connectors you need? Please take a picture of the new batteries connectors. Usually, there are two. One for power another for charging.

Several rear rack style cases use the same 110V connectors.

They are NEMA 5-15P to IEC320C13
Cheap online or a big box store like Walmart

Just use google and the phrase, IEC320C13 to NEMA 5-15P
