Bafang Controller(I think)doing funny things

Hi,I bought a bike with a 250W rear hub bafang motor,36V battery,and DPC18 display.
I had some problems with the battery,so I sent it to be repaired. Some days ago the light stopped working,on the display it was showing that is on,but was off.
Now,the display is not turning on,I press the on/off button and nothing. The first time I disconnected the display port,plug it back,and the display would turn on. But when I shut it back off,the same problem again.
Today I tried disconnecting and plug it back,but is not working anymore the trick.
I have the bike from 4 months so is quite new,I can not send it in warranty because I am in Norway and I bought it from Bulgary. Could it be the controller bad?

and see if that solves your problem.

I believe the issue may be with your controller or the battery. At this point, you may have to change the controller or display or the motor itself.
That's one way of troubleshooting the problem, assuming your battery is ok.

Unfortunately, when you get a system like this, you will have to be very handy to troubleshoot and fix problems. Hope you can get it resolved soon.

So there is no other way of troubleshooting,just swapping parts?
That will get expensive

It can be tough to troubleshoot as Bafang doesn't provide much information and since all the connections are waterproof there are not easy points to access wires for testing.
That said my base approach to troubleshooting is to start with the easiest and most likely possible problems and eliminate them. Google your particular set up and see if any known problems exist. You can also try applying a little pressure to the connector in different directions to see if it is a loose internal connection. Then I don't know if you can buy or possibly fabricate a tap for the connectors so you can have them plugged in and still test... But even then if the connector is the fault results can be misleading.
Parts swapping is expensive... But it is the fastest method.

I am a professional bafang mid motor XXXX
there are only 2 reasons why this display did not work:
1. display is dead;
2. controller is dead.
did you check the display green head on the controller? are the pins in the right position? not crooked?
sometimes the wires did not connect very well, especially the wire heads.
as you mentioned you sent the battery to repair, are you sure the battery works fine now?

If you confirm the battery is ok, the only reason is the controller,
did you ever start the e-bike in a hurry and let it runs at high speed for a long time?
it may burn the controller.

All you need to do is to exclude the meter, battery, controller separately,
I suggest you ask your supplier send a controller.

My supplier don't want to send me a controller...
I connected the charger on the bike and I have the same problem,so is not the battery.
My setup is this:
BFSWX02 36V 250W Bafang rear hub motor
CR S104.250.FC 15A 36V Controller
36V Battery and DPC18 Display
I dont find the controller,I think Bafang is not selling it to the ordinary people
I think the contoller is the problem.I checked all connection,they seem good.Now,I have other problem.The engine is not running.
Is possible for a controller to fail like this?
I resume the problems:The display is not turning on,just when I disconnect and connect again the battery.Motor not working and light not working.
The bike is quite new,I didn't do anything to burn the controller,the bike is limited to 25km/h.
All the ideas will be great for me!Thank you guys.

Not a professional, but after reading through this, I'm wondering about your battery voltage. If it's too low, it may be shutting itself down.

If you want to figure this failure out, that's where I would start. What is your battery voltage, exactly?

The Bafang HUB MOTORS use generic controllers. Bafang doesn't make or supply them (not to my knowledge anyway). They aren't like the mid motors with the built in controllers at all. ANY good controller will work, but the KT controllers are available on the open market very reasonably, and are generally purchased with an LCD display that are very popular. The big selling point is that they can be purchased with the correct plug for the motor to plug in to. Point being, if a new controller is required to repair, a KT is a good plan.

That's NOT to say I think we need one here! I still suspect we're working with a dead or possibly bad battery.....

@AHicks I did have a problem with the battery in the past,I sent the battery in service.Now,the battery is ok,the guys from the service tested it and is in spec(13Ah).
I supplied the bike with the charger,just to be sure,and is doing the same things.I will just quit and buy a new controller with display.The display and PAS sensor plugs are not so common,I think it will not be possible to find a controller with that plugs.I will attach some photos with the motor plug and the rest.Please help me find a good configuration controller+display+PAS sensor,I will attach a link with a controller that I found on Amazon.Thank you for the help!
