I like it.
Though I highly recommend body gear as I can see pushing it too far being addictive.
But @$2k...I don't think so.

Besides, it is nothing really new.

koloběžka (bicycle-skateboard) is a popular Czech vehicle rented out at the top of the hill so a person can ride, for instance, for 12 km and 500 metres of elevation loss on paved or gravel roads in high mountains.

I'm afraid Dryft Board might even not be able to do the reversed course :) given the steep climbs in high mountains. (This photo is from a Polish rental, Tatra Mts).

That's a standing bicycle... The Dryft is more skateboard in construction and action.
Then add that dumb thing isn't even electric.
So much different and new

With the rear wheels to fall off soon because the riding speed downhill could be 25 or even 40 mph.

Why would you need an electric when there is gravity? As I said, Dryft might even not be able to climb half a kilometre uphill (elevation gain) with the grades such as 14%.

Looks to me like it's designed for skate parks and large open paved areas. Certainly wouldn't work on unpaved trails or MUP's

The flimsy board and rear wheels combined with a powerful motor destine this contraption to the same place as the "airbag bicycle helmet" :)
