looks like its made to shift under load and less chain slip. a lot longer wear components.. though I thought my bike guy said a stronger chain but it looks like just a standard 11 speed chain. you would need a new drivetrain minus the chainring but also a new shifter. but its not much difference in price

I have it on my RM Load 60.

shift under load: Excellent
less chain slip: Excellent
Wear: New cassette at 4600 miles -- old one was very worn. I just put on my third chain at 0.8 -- I'd estimate about 2300-2500 miles/chain.

My LBS is impressed. This is a heavy bike often loaded with cargo.

I've been told by a reliable source that Shimano is all-in and expanding production. The replacement cassette is about $140. This is a 1x11. The chain isn't really part of the system although there's a LinkGlide-branded chain.

I do miss the Gates belt, esp on the maintenance issue, but the shifting is crisper/quicker than the Gates/Rohloff/E14combo.

I think that my wife would probably benefit from it more than I would, (she doesn’t tend to back off when shifting). My SLX 1x11 is holding up very well, but when it does eventually need replacement, I am likely to go with the XT on mine as well. I don’t need the speed of the Hyperglide anymore and the weight penalty is not so important to me on an ebike. I like that it should shift more smoothly and last much longer.
