Any idea when Bosch PowerTube 500 wh replacement batteries can be ordered in USA?

The third quote shows what I have dropped to due to price gouging. I really need all these items for the bike to have value to me. If the battery does not have enough power to make it back home after repairs, the deal is dead. I just have to test ride the bike for three hours.

2019 (NOT 2018) Trek Powerfly 5 Hard requirements:

Nyon capable (Intuvia retrofit).
    • I will buy Nyon head unit online.
  1. Second battery
  2. Does light beam spotlight other end of C470 tunnel at Chatfield SP & Wadsworth?
    • Any conflict with Nyon and Light on bars?
    • Any conflict between brakes and light button?
  3. Walk mode enabled
    • I have to cross Bowles and Coal Mine from Walmart near C470 pushing 35 pounds of food.
    • Allowed for Jefferson County. Local CO law supersedes state level.
    • Trek Policy:
      • Must be imported with walk mode disabled, due to federal law
      • May be enabled by LBS with diagnostic software, if state law permits.

First Quote:

  1. Bike: 2019 (NOT 2018) Powerfly 5 hardtail large size

Second Quote:

  1. Bosch Intuvia Retrofit kit (Display unnecessary, plan to use Nyon)
  2. Light
    • Supernova M99 Pro.
      • Any light with comparable light beam, but less expensive?
    • Waiting to hear back whether the “high beam” is in fact a “spotlight” that concentrates a beam for 400 feet in a tunnel
  3. Busch & Mueller mirror
  4. Busch & Muller Taillight
  5. B&M Horn
  6. Fenders - compatible with rack and front shock
  7. Kickstand
  8. Pedals ?
  9. Some type of U Lock that can be permanently attached to the bike?
  10. Front flashing lights to reflect off of the tunnel walls to warn riders approach tunnel from hairpin turn.
    • Could simply be front turn signals that blink, or a rear light mounted to the front.
    • Luna Cycles has wired lights. https://lunacycle.com/extras/lights/
      • Emergency flashing lights: (Link Removed - No Longer Exists)

Third Quote:

  1. Second battery PowerTube 500w vertical
  2. Rear rack: Bontrager BackRack Disc
    • (Link Removed - No Longer Exists)
  3. Bontrager Interchange Deluxe Plus Rear Trunk Bag
    • (Link Removed - No Longer Exists)
  4. One Pannier that have enough capacity for groceries
  5. RackTime Large Boxit (Link Removed - No Longer Exists)
  6. Bontrager Interchange baseplate and attach it to the Boxit
  7. I need to know how the RackTime Large Boxit attaches to the rack. Very unclear to me.
    • Do I buy a Bontrager Interchange baseplate and attach it to the Boxit somehow?

The battery must be able to make the trip from the shop to Bowles Ave. and back in Turbo mode, or the deal is dead.

I think that is really smart. To be honest, I have a very hard time taking a single battery seriously. How far could I go, when I weigh 210 pounds?

Nobody can convince me that one battery is all that I need. I need two batteries, or some new battery technology. I have more range pedaling a conventional bike. I wish the industry would realize that. One battery seems like half of a bike to me.
On Monday I rode my homage HS rohloff 64 miles on one charge. I was in eco mode 72% of the time and tour the rest. I averaged 14.6 mph. I weigh 208 and averaged 112 watts output, 1,400 foot elevation gain and loss. I was with my wife on her Nevo Nuvinci CX.

Work harder, go slower and you get further.

Perhaps, my fear level is exaggerated? This Bosch app estimates 53 miles, when I expected about half that amount. #57

Would you might trying the Bosch app to compare your actual results with the estimation?

I appears that the Bosch estimate is on the conservative side as I am actually getting better distance than estimated.

With all the same parameters I get the following

Tour 45 miles
Sport 37 miles (no EMTB on a HS drive)
Turbo 33 miles

FireShot Pro Screen Capture #028 - 'eBike range calculator for Bosch drive systems – Bosch e...jpg

Keeping everything the same but adding 4mph to average speed (from 14 to 18) took 12 miles off the estimate.. Given your stated love of speed and fitness level, you might be able to offset much of this differential.

Thanks. Moreover, i hope to prove this case against commuting by car. If a bike can come anywhere near the speed of a car over six miles, then that would be remarkable.

Here's the case i am hoping to prove. The route is probably unique to Denver, by it is also representative of my experience with bike paths in Denver.
