And now, another issue with the Allant+ 9.9S (Cobi.Bike app)

I thought maybe it was me.
New bike, new Bosch Smartphone Hub, new Cobi.Bike app, new learning curves.
Well almost daily, I have to reboot my iPhone XR (iOS Software Version 13.4.1) when I go for a ride.
I roll the bike out of the garage, unplug the charger, the LCD screen on the bike is ready to go, I start the app, says "Hub not connected".
Went though this almost daily.
Even went so far as to do an Apple re-install/wipe out start from zero fresh install in the iPhone, made no difference.
It's random, once the phone is rebooted, bingo, the app connects and works.

Now, am I supposed to call Bosch, Trek, Apple or hope that it improves?

Does anyone else have inconsistencies with the Cobi.Bike app connecting or am I in my own doomsday world?

Oh, "Trek's most technologically advanced bike ever developed"

Hi Guruuno,

No problems with mine. I have an iPhone X and it seems to work very well. In the end, I signed up for Komoot, and use that for directions. But if I am just on a ride, I use the Cobi. Links perfectly down into my Apple Health app to register the ride. I also had it downloading to Strava, MapMyRide, and RidewithGPS. Since I really do not care about stats, I decided to ditch the others and use Komoot for directions.

Sorry I cannot be of more help,

I'm an Android guy. I've had no issues. However, check the latest firmware from Bosch. Here are some instructions for that in case you haven't

1. Open the COBI.Bike app on your smartphone.

2. Swipe up from the bottom to access SmartphoneHub settings.

3. Tap the gearwheel/key symbol in the top left corner.

4. Bike Inspection / Components / Hub / Software shows information on the current SmartphoneHub software version.

5. SmartphoneHub: 1.0.7.0 is the most current version.

If you have the latest, I would call Trek.

I have iPhone 11 Pro and same bike as you got. I have got zero problem with the connection nor have any problem connecting via bluetooth. Have u tried using the cable to connect the phone ?

I've not had a single issue either. I think the system cut off on me once but I think it was a cable issue. Every other ride has been flawless. I always connect via wire (and not bluetooth).

I'll also note that the clamp holds me phone very securely in place. I do not use a case on my phone - that probably helps.

press button on right side of the cobi holder to connect your phone app.....works for me when it is not automatic.
Also press when done with a ride, puts app in correct mode for the end.
